Merry Christmas to all

Merry Christmas everyone. Here it is Christmas morning and I've finally gotten all of the presents wrapped. We're celebrating Christmas today with my in-laws and Thursday with my parents, assuming my sister and her family make it through all the snow between here and Ohio. We received a little dusting of snow late in the evening Tuesday night. Lori hoped for more, but a little is better than none.

My best friend, Rick, is scheduled to arrive here from North Carolina on the 27th. I'm really looking forward to that. Hopefully by then, they'll have the snow cleared between here and there so they can get here safely.

Birthday wishes go out to my father today. Happy Birthday, Dad! We love you.

I'm off to bed now, so that I can be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the morning. See you all later.

Is Winter here yet?

It has been unseasonably warm here lately, and it is supposed to get even better this week. Today it's supposed to reach 48 degrees. I think it's great, but Lori keeps looking for snow. She likes it when snow is falling from the sky. Plus, she's hoping for a white Christmas. As for me, I'll take the warmer weather. January and February are going to be cold enough soon enough, so this is nice.

Time flies when you're shopping

I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted anything here. I've been keeping busy in the meantime. What have I been doing? Glad you asked.

I have been doing a lot of Christmas shopping. Being off work, and with Lori pregnant and supposed to stay off her feet as much as possible, I did the majority of the Christmas shopping for the two of us. I am surprised at how much time that took up. I usually do my Christmas shopping on or around Christmas eve. But in recent years, everything gets pretty well picked over by that time, and it's harder to find what you want to purchase. So this year, I started early. And I think I'm done.

I've also done a little studying for my A+ test, which I have not taken yet. Plus, my MCSE class started two weeks ago. And I've done some more house cleaning/reorganizing. All that, plus looking for a job. It makes for a full week.
